MRS021- 03 DAYS: TSAVO A’LA CARTE SAFARI
Tsavo Lions
Day 1:
You will make an early start from your Mombasa base, and drive on the Mombasa – Nairobi highway to enter the Tsavo East National Park through the Bachuma gate. You will immediately proceed on an extensive morning game viewing drive en route to your Camp with a stopover at the Aruba dam, a popular man-made watering hole for game and one of the best places to view and photograph this park’s resident game, especially Tsavo’s famous herds of elephant. Lunch is at a camp / lodge. Rest of the afternoon at leisure to relax in your room.

Early evening, you will be taken on a walking safari escorted by an armed KWS Ranger (min 04 pax required) to the Lugard’s Falls along the Galana River. At the end of the walk, enjoy the sundown from the top of the hills overlooking the Yatta Plateau – the world’s largest lava flow before returning to your camp.

Dinner and overnight at the Galdessa Camp or similar.
Day 2:
Again you start early so as to enjoy a morning game viewing drive visiting the Rhino Project before returning to your camp for breakfast. Rest of the morning at leisure with lunch at the Camp. In the afternoon, you will be taken on a game viewing drive in this vast park, accredited as one of the world’s leading biodiversity strongholds, bushy grasslands and open plains alternating with semi-arid acacia scrub and woodlands. The park has over 500 species of birds including some migratory kestrels and buzzards. Also to be found in this area are some uncommon species of animals which you may be lucky to see such as the lesser kudu, gerenuk. Fringed eared oryx, hirola and Peter’s gazelle. You will return to your camp in the late evening. Dinner and overnight at the Galdessa Camp or similar.
Day 3: TSAVO WEST / MOMBASA
After breakfast, you will depart with game viewing en route and exit the park through the Manyani gate and start the leisurely drive on the smooth tarmac road, arriving in Mombasa in the early evening. Transfer to your Coast Hotel or residence.
